Biography
Sue-Ying Koang, violinist
After studying violin at the CNSMD in Lyon, the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin and the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA (USA), Sue-Ying Koang obtained a position as principal with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège (Belgium) in 2004.
She left her orchestral position in 2011 to specialize in early music. She resumed her studies at the Haute École de Musique de Genève and obtained two masters in baroque violin and music pedagogy.
Since then, Sue-Ying has devoted herself to historical practice and has performed with the most important baroque ensembles. She collaborates in particular with the harpsichordist, organist, conductor and musicologist Vincent Bernhardt.
